Wednesday 07 December 2016 - Cross Farm After School Club in Frimley is Ofsted 'OUTSTANDING'

Following an inspection on 10th November 2016, we are extremely pleased to be able to announce our Cross Farm Infants after school club in Frimley has just been awarded Ofsted's highest grade possible...'OUTSTANDING'!

The inspection lasted most of the afternoon with the inspector interviewing staff, observing and speaking to the children and also seeking the views of several parents.  They also carried out a thorough review of our systems, paperwork and procedures to ensure that the club was providing the best level of care for children attending.

Among many complimentary comments, the inspector highlighted;

  • Staff provide exceptional levels of support and interaction and have high expectations of children's abilities. For example, they are extremely skilful in helping children build even further on their individual achievements gained in school.
  • Staff treat all children with excellent warmth and respect. They are highly skilled and sensitive in helping children form excellent attachments. Children settle in exceptionally quickly and respond very positively to the high level of attention and encouragement that they receive.
  • Partnerships with parents and the school are outstanding. The staff, school staff and parents value these highly positive relationships. The exceptional shared approach complements children's learning that takes place in school.
  • Staff are vigilant in supporting children's excellent health and safety. They implement excellent measures to keep children safe. For example, staff help children develop a high regard for possible dangers and to manage risks extremely confidently.

Needless to say, everyone at KOOSA Kids is absolutely thrilled with this news. Annette, Leanne and Andrea, our caring and dedicated team at Cross Farm Infant School, continue to provide a fantastic service on behalf of the children and parents and it is true reward for the team that their efforts have been formally recognised in such a way.

Outstanding grades are notoriously hard to achieve in the 'out of school' sector, however this latest inspection now takes the total number of 'Outstandings' received by KOOSA Kids in 2016 to six, an achievement we are all exceptionally proud of.
